Leora Raikin, DLP’s founder and executive director, was a featured speaker at the 3rd Biannual Sydney Jewish Educator’s Symposium on October 11, 2023. The event was presented by the Jewish Education Program, Hebrew, Biblical and Jewish Studies at the University of Sydney and Moriah War Memorial College. This theme of the symposium this year was Genesis: Creating Jewish Education.
Leora spoke on how the DLP brings creativity and the Holocaust together through 400 pieces of art created by renowned artist David Labkovski and about DLP’s educational program that synthesis art and history while guiding students from observer to “peer to peer” educator to curators.
